09.15.08Pitfall in the Paper Pitfall Trap
Traps (0)We opened the door to the pumphouse this morning to a surprise! The mouse had taken the cheese! But he wasn't captured. On top of that, he left crumbs upon the paper. Because he was so clever not to fall, we decided to make it more difficult for him to stand upon the paper and eat the cheese. We increased the slits twofold and widened them, as well. And baited more cheese for tonight!

Traps (1)One of two things are happening, regarding the traps we set: Either the mice aren't fooled, or the mice are all gone! +++ Steve cat keeps bringing up the rear, dropping rat after rat at the back stoop. He'll leave them there so I'll find them on my way to water the plants in the morning, and twenty minutes I'll return to the stoop to find nothing left but a bloody liver. I don't know for sure what he's trying to tell us, but I have a feeling it's Steve's way of telling us he's a bloody badass cat. I kind of believe him. One ...
