]]> By: cyndi http://boysalmanac.com/2010/01/16/back-to-school-with-bones/comment-page-1/#comment-23432 cyndi Sun, 17 Jan 2010 10:39:04 +0000 http://boysalmanac.com/?p=2334#comment-23432 scat…bones…those are magic words around here. the other day we found an owl pellet (there’s a large family of tawny frog mouths living in the sanctuary near our house)on our hike (and me w/out my camera!). i explained to the boys why they make the pellets and then we found sticks and took it apart little by little. we found only one tiny little bone, probably from a small marsupial, and the rest was fur. and then i told the boys my childhood owl pellet stories. it was awesome!!
